Tuesday Date Night at the Boo-Jay

Last night Mr. Bird (AKA Hubsters :)) and I saw the movie Valkyrie.

Valkyrie is a historical film set in Nazi Germany during WWII and documents the July 20, 1944 plot by German officers to remove Adolf Hitler from power. The July 1944 plot was the last of the 15 attempts to assassinate Adolf Hitler…9 months later he would commit suicide with the Soviet forces at his back door.

The film was very moving. The perspective of documenting the internal politics and workings of the German army during Hitlers regime was fascinating. Furthermore the costuming was stunning and the actors were wonderfully and appropriately cast.

I love history and documentary type films (based on a real story?...sweet!) and this movie did not disappoint.
